A three-day exploration of some of Oregon's less known waterfalls with instruction on photographing and editing dynamic water with landscape and animal photographer Suzon Murray.
Time permitting, and if seasonal waterflow is adequate, there may be opportunities to photograph smaller water features that are abundant in this area. The coastal range is notorious for "leaking water everywhere."
The majority of our time will be taken up with hiking and photographing these beautiful natural features but there will also be some classroom time when we will cover the finer points of planning, photographing, and editing dynamic water, including neutral density filters and extended exposure. Check the suggested equipment list for what to bring.
We'll be touring four separate locations, including a spectacular mile long waterfall complex and a towering 100-foot cascade. Come prepared to hike. Three of our destinations have fairly tame access trails. The fourth is a 2-mile hike downhill to reach our goal and then a rather arduous 2 miles back up what has been described as "a bit of a goat trail."

In order to provide everyone with a great shoot, we will be limiting the number of participants to 6. Price for the full three-days is $600.00, but if you sign up prior to April 1st, you can get the full package for just $500.00.
Can't make it for all three days?. You can also sign up for just one or two days at a rate of $200.00 per day.
These hikes will take place rain or shine...and Oregon is famous for rain! We will not refund based on weather/predicted weather.
This area is also famous for its abundance so be prepared for possible wildlife. Common sightings are heron, elk, deer, otter, snakes, and bald eagles. Please note, bear and cougar are also out there, though they tend to stay away from humans.
