Father: Hugh HARROPStarted a livery stable in Crestline in 1887 and continued in this line of work his entire life. In 1890, he moved to Bucyrus, very near Crestline, where he put together another livery business. In 1903, he formed a partnership with John E. [ Bud ] Faulkner, who prior to their union was in the livestock buying business. They merged the two businesses together and were quite successful. Their livery stables accommodated some 40 horses, with outfits to match. They also carried undertaking outfits and had a central delivery system which they operated in the city and a similar system at Marion, Ohio.
