Father: Simon CROSBYJoseph Crosby was a farmer and a tailor. In 1696, he was taxed three pounds, eleven shillings, and ten pence, and one pound, and eleven pence on meeting-house rate. In March 1695/6, he was constable. His property was not large and as he was rather straightened in finances, he petitioned the Court to have his children assume his support.

Father: David CRUMEntere as Susanah Elmira in the Crum Bible, she later wrote her name Almira Susan, and she was generally called Myra. She was only a baby on the move to Ohio, and she was the youngest of the girls to marry--only 18. They never had any children, so when France had to be away over niht, he would go to Bucyrus and get Nessie Caris to stay with Myra. When Nessie was 12 she just stayed on, making her home with the Lashes thereafter. Their home was a double house, so when Nessie married Laird Shively in 1900, they took up residence in part of the house. After France died, Myra lived with the Shivelys on Davis Road.
