Erlon K. MURRAY

Erlon Murray was born 04 March, 1909 in Jay, Maine.  In 1935 on 30 November, He married Louisetta (Louise) Grimaldi in Jay.  They were later divorced about 1944/45 and he later married Marie Belfiori, who he was seeing before his divorce and with whom he remained for the rest of his life.  In WWII he served in the Merchant Marines.  He worked at a number of different professions, relocating to New Jersey after his second marriage.  He maintained a home with approximately 50 acres where he kept trotting ponies.  Because this homestead was located on top of a low mountain at the end of a narrow and winding dirt road, he became known to his grandchildren as “Grandpa in the Mountains.”  He died on 8 September 1986 in Whiting, New Jersey.
