Of the 2 sons named in Walter's will, Nicholas was probably the ancestor of the New England colonist, Joseph Bixby. The reasoning is that Nicholas was used as a given name by Thomas of Tostock and his descendants, from whom descended Joseph, but does not appear to have been used by Robert, who died in 1524,- nor any of his descendants-NEGR. Nicholas held land in Felsham and Thorp Morieux.
