Father: Samuel ZINKBorn on 10 April 1837 in Pennsylvania, Samuel Zink served in the Civil War in Ohio E 101st Infantry. He enlisted on 10 August 1862 and mustered out at Columbus on 15 June 1865. His company saw battles in Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama. He married Cordelia A Hunt in Crawford County on 13 June 1867. He applied for his Civil War Pension as an invalid in 1891 and his wife then applied for his pension after his death on 22 August 1912. He had one child of record and after his death his wife moved to Mobile, Alabama. He is buried in Greenlawn Cemetery in Crestline, Ohio.
