Minnie Bubier was the youngest of Charles F. Bubier’s Children, born in 1882. She was raised in North Jay, Maine at Canada Corners. When she Married Daniel J. Murray (See Murray family), who was twelve years her senior, they established their home directly across the street from the Bubier household. Minnie was said to be taller than her two sisters as well as kind and “up-to-date” in her notions and way of living. Minnie bore five children between the years 1899 and 1909, but only the first and last—Chester and Erlon—lived beyond childhood. Clifford died of the measles October 20 1900 at the age of 26 days. Their daughter, Florence died at just over a year of age when she accidentally ingested Strychnine. And they lost 5-year-old Wilber to “acute gastritis” on 26 October 1907 in Sullivan, Maine, probably while visiting Murray relatives there. Her husband died in January of 1942 and she did not remarry. In the last years of her life, she lived in a nursing home in Winthrop, Maine. She is buried beside her husband in Lakeview Cemetery in Wilton.
