Family 1: JANEAndrew Stevenson was a private Soldier No. 29. He was one of the first settlers and a Charter member of Salem, Mass. He was prison keeper from 1656 to 1672. Garrison by himself. He was also in the Expedition to Canada, in 1690. He was one of the Founders of the House of Correction at Bridewell, erected in 1656.
"1648 ANDREW STEVENSON bought of Thomas Crosbye one dwellinge house, wthin the Towne, wth about halfe a rood of ground wth the purtenes therto belonging sometyme in the posession of Marke Pierce Edward Collins North & East, Crooked street West, Backe-lane south. "
