Solomon GROGG b. About 1784 in Dauphin County PA,
d. Plain Twp., Starks county, OH, and his wife Mary Snyder . Had children
Abraham GROGG (b. 5 Oct 1809, PA ) and John GROGG (b. before 1809,
PA), Peter GROGG, George GROGG (m. Polly Warshler), Jacob
GROGG, Catherine GROGG (m. Jacob Hoffman), Solomon GROGG
(11 Feb. 1812 in OH) and Daniel GROGG (1816, OH, m. Elizabeth).
John MURRAY b. mid-1800's in Scotland, d. before
1898, and his wife Catherine MCFERSON (or McPherson) b. mid-1800's in
Scotland, d. after
1898. Immigrated to Canada before 1865. Catherine and her children, Daniel MURRAY(b.
31 Oct 1870 in NB Canada, d. 25 Jan 1942 in ME) and William MURRAY (b.
15 October 1865 in NB Canada, d. 19 February 1947 in ME) immigrated into Maine. Catherine's last known residence was West
Sullivan, ME in 1898.
James HARROP b. 12 Mar 1811 in Lancashire, England,
d. 6 Nov 1876 in Crestline, OH. m. Ann _____ b.1809 in England, d.1872 in
Crestline, OH. James was the father of Hugh HARROP b. 1833 in Lancashire,
England, d. 1889 in Crestline, OH. James and Ann came to America in the
footsteps of Hugh in 1863,
leaving 11 other children in England.
Samuel ZINK b. 1799 in Pennsylvania, d. Mar 1, 1866
in Crestline, OH, m. Sarah SPENCER bef. 1833. Had sons David
L ZINK (b. Dec 1, 1833 in Marietta, Lancaster Co., PA, d. 25 May 1916)
and Samuel ZINK (b. Apr 10, 1837 d. 22 August 1912). Samuel is
listed on the 1850 census as living in Marietta, PA. Shortly after that
he moved for a short time to Pittsburgh with his son, David, and then the
family continued to Ohio. Sarah is not listed as living with him in
1850.
