Mary Jane BOOBYAR

Mary Boobyar was most likely still a minor at the time of her father’s death, for she was raised by William Hewett of Marblehead and was named in his will as the sole beneficiary.  In that will, she is stated as being the youngest daughter of Joseph Boober.  Madeleine Bubier points out the fact that Mary was brought up by Hewett seems to indicate that her own mother died when Mary was quite young and that her step-mother, Rebecca (Green/Pinson/Boobier) Bartlett did not supervise Mary after Joseph’s death.  She married Francis Bouden (b. 1678 in Marblehead) on 22 September 1707.  The Bouden's raised a large family of approximately ten children.  Mary died in 1748 and was outlived by her husband until 1759.
