OBITUARY
Opal M. Vallas, 82, of Woodlawn Ave., died shortly after 9 a.m. Sunday, April 5,1992, in her home.
Mrs. Vallas was born July 28, 1909, in Liberty Township, Crawford County, to the late Eddie L. and Emma [Layer] Crum. She was married Oct.21,1951 to Gus Vallas, who preceded her in death May 2,1960.
Surviving her are a daughter Mrs. Russell [Barbara Welch] Watson of Bucyrus, Three grandchildren, David R.Watson of Scottsdale,Ariz., Thomas W.Watson of Bucyrus, Karen E.Watson of Mt.Gilead, a great-grandson, Wesley Watson, two step great-grandsons, Stafford and Bryan Smith of Arizona, and a sister Alice Harrop of Augusta,Me. A brother preceded her in death.
A lifelonf resident of this area, Mrs. Vallas graduated from Sulpher Springs High School 1928. She was owner-operator of The Pub Resterant from 1951-61. She worked as a floral designer for Norton's Flowers for a number of years. Mrs.Vallas was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Wise Funeral Home. The Rev. James Barkenquast will officiate and burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
