Samuel ZINK Seeking Information!

Samuel Zink was born in Pennsylvania.  He is possibly the Samuel Zink listed in the 1830 federal census in E. Donegal Township, Lancaster County and in 1840 in West Hempfield, Lancaster County.  His first son, David, was born in Marietta, a borough of East Donegal, in 1833.  In 1850 he is positively identified in Marietta, Lancaster County.  He married Sarah Spencer, probably before 1833.  His wife most likely died before 1850, as she is not listed with him on the census.  The 1881 history of Crawford County, Ohio tells us that around 1850, he followed his son, David, to Pittsburgh and then to Crestline, Ohio where he worked as a Machinist for the railroad.

OBITUARY
March 1,1866, Samuel Zink of Crestline,Crawford County, in the 67 th year of his age.
