Father: William CHANDLERThomas Chandler was one of the early settlers of Andover. He came to New England with his parents from Bishops-Stortford, Herst, England, in 1637 to Roxbury, MA. He was constable of Andover in 1661-2; on the grand jury in 1664; and for years an officer of the Andover military company (Ensign , 1681, Lieutenant, 1683, Captain 1690). Served in King Phillips War. Mentioned as testifying against Samuel Wardle of Andover during the Salem Witch Trials. He was a blacksmith and ironworker like all of the Chandlers and by 1678 was a wealthy man.

Father: Bernard SHOPPEve lived only two years after the death of her husband, as Letters of Administration for her estate are dated 4 Dec 1807, with Jacob Shopp and John Crall named as her administrators. Henry and John Crall, brothers of Christian II, were made guardians of his orphaned children. In 1819, they received $759 from Adam Shop, son of Bernard Shope, as the children's share of their grandfather's estate.
