Mathias CRALL

Mathias Crall/Krall was the son of Jonathan (Jona) Krall, who was the son of Emanuel Krall.   All that is known of Emanuel Krall is that he lived in Basle, Switzerland.  Jonathan has at least three sons who emigrated to America.  Apparently the first to come was Mathias.  Without giving any documentation, one family historian, in Virkus, says he arrived in 1720.  In 1729, the ship Mortonhouse carried Ulrich and Christian Krall to America.  There is no proof that they were related, but when Ulrich made his will in 1773, he named Mathias as his brother.

In 1737 he had land surveyed in Lebanon twp, which later became Heidelberg twp. He had several later grants of land in Lebanon twp and 130 acres in Paxton twp, Dauphin Co. Nothing is known of his wife, except that she was named Mary. When Mathias made his will in 1783, he gave the Dauphin Co. land to his son, Christian. He left his wife £50 and the household goods, and the remainder of his estate was to be divided between his nine children.  Ulrich Crall was one of the witnesses of his will.

He purchased a tract of land from William Penn's sons in 1743 near Schafferstown Lebanon Pa.

Roger TOOTHAKER

Came in the Hopewell, capt. Babb, from London 1635, aged 23, with his w. Margaret, and s. Roger, 1 yr. d. early, and it is not kn. where he sat down, but in 1638, his wid. m. Ralph Hill of Woburn, wh. soon aft. 1653 rem. to Billerica, and d. 1663, in his will of 10 Nov. 1662, nam. his w. Margaret, and her son Roger Toothaker. She liv. to 22 Dec. 1683, ROGER, Billerica, s. of the preced. had Roger, wh. also had Roger, and all were, says Farmer, physicians.
